Privacy Policy

The short version

• Your writing stays private. We never sell it, share it, or train models on it.
• Text you paste for a rewrite is processed and returned, not stored.
• We keep only what is needed to run your account: your email, your plan, and counts.
• You can delete your voice profile at any time, and your account whenever you ask.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and a unique account identifier. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not read your Gmail, Drive, or contacts.

Text you submit for rewriting. The passage you paste is sent to our writing model, rewritten, and returned to you in the same request. It is not written to our database and it is not retained after your rewrite completes.

Voice calibration samples. If you turn on the voice feature, the samples you provide are analysed for style. We store a short description of your writing style and a few brief excerpts used as style evidence. Nothing about the subject matter of your samples is reused in future rewrites.

Usage records. We store counts of rewrites, your plan status, and the period they belong to so that allowances and limits work correctly.

Payment information. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep your subscription status, billing period, and the identifiers Stripe gives us.

Technical data. Standard server logs (timestamps, error traces, coarse request metadata) are produced automatically for reliability and abuse prevention. Rejected or refused content is not written into those logs.

How we use it

• To perform the rewrite you asked for and return the result.
• To match your writing style when you enable the voice feature.
• To apply free allowances, paid credits, and length limits.
• To take payment, renew subscriptions, and issue the credits you paid for.
• To keep the service secure and stop abuse.
• To reply when you contact support.

We do not use your writing to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any model, ours or anyone else’s.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising. We share data only with the providers required to operate the product:

• Our model provider, which processes the passage you submit in order to produce the rewrite. It is transmitted for processing and is not used for training.
• Google, for sign-in only.
• Stripe, for payments and subscription management.
• Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account record.

We may also disclose information if the law clearly requires it, or to protect the service and its users from harm.

How long we keep it

• Rewrite text: not retained after the request completes.
• Voice profile and excerpts: kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Account record and usage counts: kept while your account exists.
• Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Server logs: kept for a short operational window, then rotated out.

Your controls

You can delete your voice profile and every stored excerpt from Settings at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

You can cancel a subscription from your account page, which opens the billing portal.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export, or erase the personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. Write to us at likeminesupport@gmail.com and we will action it. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your account record, voice profile, and usage history.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that scope each record to its owner. Credits and entitlements are calculated on our servers only, so they cannot be altered from a browser. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available.

International transfers

Our providers operate infrastructure in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens, we rely on the standard contractual protections those providers offer.

Children

Like Mine is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the product. Continuing to use Like Mine after a change means you accept the updated policy.
