Terms of Service

Definitions

• Service. The Like Mine website, rewrite tools, account system, and any related features.
• User. Any person who visits, signs in, or subscribes to the service.
• Content. Any text, document, or writing sample submitted to the service.
• Subscription. A recurring paid plan that grants monthly usage and access to paid features.
• Credits. The internal unit used to count rewrites. Credits are granted, tracked, and deducted on our servers only.

The service

Like Mine takes text you own or have the right to edit and rewrites it so it reads as though a person wrote it, keeping names, numbers, dates, quotes, and links intact. The output is produced by an automated system. It is a draft, not a guarantee, and you should read it before publishing or sending it anywhere that matters.

Accounts

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you use and for everything done through your Like Mine account. One person, one account. Do not share access or create multiple accounts to obtain extra free usage.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Like Mine.

You may close your account at any time by emailing likeminesupport@gmail.com. Closing your account removes your stored voice profile, usage history, and personal account record.

License to use the service

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the service for your own personal or business writing. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or build a competing product using the service. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Like Mine.

Free usage and credits

• Visitors who are not signed in get one free rewrite.
• Creating an account grants a small number of additional free rewrites, once.
• Paid plans include a fixed allowance of rewrites for each billing period. Allowances are granted after a successful payment.
• Unused paid allowance does not roll over. It resets when the next billing period starts.
• Top-up packs add rewrites to your balance and are consumed alongside your plan allowance.
• Free accounts have a shorter per-rewrite length limit than paid accounts.

Credits are counted on our servers. Any attempt to grant, reset, or manipulate credits from outside the product is a breach of these terms.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly or yearly basis until you cancel. Prices are shown on the account page before you check out and include any applicable taxes shown at checkout.

If a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

We may change prices or plan contents. Existing subscribers will be told before a change takes effect for their plan, and can cancel if they do not want to continue.

Payment and taxes

By providing a payment method, you authorise us and Stripe to charge the applicable subscription or top-up amount. You are responsible for keeping your payment method up to date. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend paid features until the payment succeeds.

Prices shown do not include taxes unless stated at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes imposed by your jurisdiction.

Free trials and promotional offers

Free trials are offered at our discretion and may require a valid payment method. When a trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically unless you cancel before the trial expires. Promotional credits or trial allowances have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep paid access until then. After that, your account drops to the free plan and any unused monthly allowance expires.

If you are in a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Cancellations made after a trial converts to a paid subscription follow the same rules as any other paid cancellation.

Refunds

Charges are generally non-refundable, including partial periods and unused rewrites. If something went genuinely wrong, such as a duplicate charge or a failure on our side that stopped you using what you paid for, contact likeminesupport@gmail.com and we will make it right. Where local consumer law grants you a stronger right to a refund, that law applies.

Data and privacy

Your writing and account data are handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train models.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text you submit and of the rewrite you receive. You grant us only the permission needed to process your text and deliver the result, plus, if you enable the voice feature, to derive and store a style profile from your samples. We do not use your content to train models. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

You confirm that you own or are authorised to edit anything you submit, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

Intellectual property

The service, its design, code, trademarks, and underlying systems are owned by Like Mine. Your feedback and suggestions are welcome and may be used without restriction or compensation.

Acceptable use

Do not use Like Mine to:

• Impersonate a real person or misrepresent authorship where honesty is required.
• Produce work for a school, employer, publisher, or examiner in breach of their rules.
• Create unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or sexually exploitative material.
• Generate disinformation, spam, or content designed to defraud people.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or run the service on behalf of a third party.
• Bypass rate limits, length limits, credit accounting, or authentication.
• Submit content you are not legally permitted to process.

Requests that our safety systems refuse are declined without consuming a rewrite. Repeated refused requests are rate limited.

Accuracy and human review

The system is designed to preserve every fact and verifies its own output, but automated rewriting can still make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing the result before you use it. We are not liable for the consequences of publishing an unreviewed rewrite.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is and as-available. We may add, change, or remove features, adjust limits, or take the service down for maintenance. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Like Mine at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, abuses the service, or creates legal risk. Where a termination is not caused by your breach, we will refund any unused paid period.

Dispute resolution

If you have a concern, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it informally. Any legal dispute will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Like Mine is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Like Mine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be signalled in the product. Continuing to use Like Mine after an update means you accept it.
